Music
It wouldn’t be Funk On The Water without a variety of bands and DJs. Check out the lineup and schedule below:
12pm: DJ Rice Pilaf + Dillanwithaq
All Vinyl DJ sets from our favorite two wax spinners.
5pm: Queen City Cutups
Queen City Cut Ups is aVermont-based acoustic band who blurs the stylistic lines between bluegrass, old-time, cajun, classic country and all things Americana. Their music features sweet vocal harmonies, fiery picking and a tasty repertoire of classicAmericana music.
7 pm: CRWD CTRL
Behind the decks since the turn of the century, CRWD CTRL knows many names and locations. From South Beach, Miami, to downtown Denver, San Diego, Albany, Milwaukee, NYC, and Boston, this traveled DJ and musical talent has as much musical smarts as mileage covered. Everything from classic soul and extensive vinyl knowledge, to contemporary and future house/tech/hip-hop vibes, the taste is comprehensive and well-acquired. One fan best sums it up: "You seem to always pick the beat that I could listen to for hours and still keep grooving."
9pm: The Medallions
The Medallions, “the best cover band in Vermont + The World”, play upbeat, classic dance music for humans of all ages. Covering the hits of disco & disco-adjacent rock music , they’re sure to get your juices flowing. Often accused of coming out of the band Madaila, The Medallions in fact come out of the year 1977, when the disco rockers got stuck in an elevator at the Philadelphia Spectrum Arena & transported to the Year 2015. After 8 years of wedding gigs raising money to build a time machine to get back home, the band has made zero financial progress due to its exorbitant fondue budget. With no choice but to keep on rocking, The Medallions are sure to come down to Funk on the Water and rock your dang socks off.
